Lake Poker Run
- On August 23, also known as 'Shootout Eve,' powerboaters will hit the Lake for the biggest poker run of the summer: the Shootout Poker Run, sponsored by Poly Lift and LakeExpo.com.
- Here's a look at the Lake Poker Run, an annual Anderson event that raises money for Meals on Wheels. The event continues Saturday, July 25 at 11 a.m. At Big Water Marina.

MISSION STATEMENT
A Poker Run is an organized event where participants must visit five to seven checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run. The Lake Cumberland Poker Run has become one of the nation’s most popular speedboat attractions.
“Rumble in the Bay” is a committee organized to raise funds for VFW Post 4042, a non-profit charitable veterans’ organization, sponsoring an annual community car show.
Its purpose is to involve the local community, including businesses,volunteers and veterans, in coordinating a car show each year, and to engage the larger community in attending the event. Its mission is donate all proceeds of this annual for the charitable purposes of VFW POST 4042, to benefit local veterans and the charitable causes sponsored by VFW.

Best of the Lake Cumberland Events & Kentucky Festivals! For the best of boating in Kentucky, the Lake Cumberland Poker Run will return in 2021! From power boats to fun boats, all boats can participate.
A Poker Run is an organized event where participants must visit five to seven checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run.
The Lake Cumberland Poker Run has become one of the nation’s most popular speedboat attractions. For the competitors and viewers, it has the best “straight-shot” boating opportunities among all Kentucky lakes.
Most of the speedboat action occurs on Friday and Saturday, but the competitors and other boaters typically end up staying through Sunday to enjoy the Lake Cumberland area attractions.
A perennial favorite that you won’t want to miss is the Lake Cumberland World’s Largest Raft Up – Returning in August 2021 – where thousands of boats come together.
